The product is a 2 part " paint protection system / PPS "

Step 1 is pretreatment cleaner

Step 2 is Acrylic Paint sealant

I am wondering if anyone has ever tried it or know of it and can comment on how well it performs and what it could be compared to in a 2 step similar product .

Website is http://nowaxfinish.com/ view the photos page for befores/afters

Appears it REALLY took care of an oxidized hood and put a nice shine back on it also .

I know it's not autopia grade I guess , just would like to know more .

They sell 4 oz 2 part sets on eBay starting at .01 and always seem to end at about $8 - $12 final cost + shipping . So sample pricing basically for the set ..

Car Wax is outdated!

Acrylic is the key ingredient of our paint sealant. It is hundreds of times harder than car wax and does not flake, crack, peal or discolor over time. Car wax and silicone products cannot compete with the brilliant shine our paint sealant produces .

Outstanding product to get your vehicle ready for the winter, especially if it is exposed to road salt!

Easy to Apply

For best results, we recommend applying the paint sealant with an orbital polisher. But with a little elbow grease, it can easily be applied by hand.

4 Oz Kit (Retail Value $49.95) Comes With Purchase

The PPS Kit contains two four ounce bottles, enough to cover any size standard car or standard SUV (Ford Explorer). Any vehicle larger than a a standard SUV will probably need two kits.

TWO STEP PROCESS - HOW IT WORKS!

The truth is, you must completely clean and de-oxidize your paint finish before applying any product.

After washing your car, apply the PPS pre-treatment cleaner. This product contains a natural paint cleaner (diatamatious earth). It also removes oxidation for older vehicles. Simply apply in a circular fashion and wipe off residue. A good to test: You should be able to see the reflection of your watch (being able to read the time) in the now cleaned and polished surface. Completely pre-treat the entire vehicle before applying sealant.

Now you are ready to apply the PPS Acrylic Paint Sealant. Again, wipe in a circular fashion and wipe off the residue. Both the pre-treatment cleaner and the sealant may be applied in direct sunlight. The Acrylic adds a great shine and brilliance much brighter than any wax or silicone products. You will see the difference! For older vehicles your finish will last one to two years; and your new cars, up to five years.

You will need to wash your car at least once a week to maintain. Use mild liquid soap and water to clean the car.

It's painfully obvious that the 'oxidation' is actually baby or talcum powder.

in the fully oxidized picture:

-there's a white powder residue on the windshield

in the half and half picture:

-you can see the powder was hosed off and is running down the clean side of the bumper

-the oxidation got 'smeared' on the hood

-the oxidation looks like it got worse on the black trim near the bumper

:faint:

wowwww thanks GaryRZ

Actually read the last post now though and it said they recommend to apply talcum powder to finish before using cleaner ??? I don't see that on the site though or was he being sarcastic .

(Bence chimes in, calmly and gently) No, Papi_jay, nothing sarcastic there, just a lot of talcum powder, instead of the supposed oxidation. They were cheating on the photos... Get it? :D

Right I thought so , but then I thought maybe for a sec that the post in the other thread really saw on the website to use it ( like as a cornstarch additive for micro fine rubbing out ) and was informing others of that .
