Anyone ever heard of TST Paint Sealant

Hi folks, anyone ever heard of TST Paint Sealant?

There is a local detailer around here that uses it and when I searched the web, well it appears to be the long lasting typical 5 yr never wear out stuff that dealers supposedly sell. Whew, talk about a long sentence.

I never heard of the stuff and I found this by accident when I donated some of my detailing goodies(waxes and sealants) to a local charity auction and found out that this detailer is also donating a detail that includes this stuff.

Any comments or is this just the typical stuff that dealers push.

I don't know of it, but a search came up with: "TST 5000© PTFE*

TST has been a pioneer in the Auto aftermarket with over 25 years and 10 million customers. All warranties are backed by a A++ Superior insurance company."

Contains Teflon® (or rather, crystalline PTFE). They have "pro" products that are warranteed, and DIY stuff that isn't.

Seems to me that it's just the typical dealer applied "never wax again" stuff.

I've read comments from some people in the industry that said 5 year stuff wasn't too likely. I think 3 years was the max realistically, but that was via lab testing to see if there was something left, not whether or not the paint still looked "showroom new."
Maybe you could get one of the DIY kits from this detailer and try it out for yourself.

901, don't know if its acrylic or not. BL, thats what I thought when I read it. I was thinking about getting one of his DIY gets for the heck of it and see what happens. Will let you folks know, and thanks for the replies.
