Anyone ever detailed their fiberglass shower?

I have a fiberglass shower in a guest bathroom that I would like to get back to a good gloss, etc. and I figured why not use the PC. Not sure what products/pad combo to use though. Any thoughts?

When it's cold and rainy outside I try to give myself new projects. :chuckle:

I am sure there are a thread or two about it on here

you could try a search

I did search and the general recommendation was AIO but AIO really isn't going to remove the scratches in the fiber glass is it? I'm also assuming to use this with an orange pad?

Well the PlastX didn't do so hot on the hard water spots on the shower or chrome tub pieces. It did work REALLY well on my red Oster blender though. It removed those spots really, really well.

I got bored this weekend. I clayed and 2-stepped my washer and dryer with some 3m compound and ultrafina. Topped with NXT 2.0.

I'm so ashamed.

Go more aggressive than you think would be necessary - I did 1Z PP/yellow foam and then 1zMP/white foam via rotary @1800 -> 1000 rpm and it came out like a mirror.

Via PC, you might need an orange pad and a medium polish.

That surprised me too. I initially tried to use #80 on the fiberglass shower enclosure and it just was not doing the job. I stepped up to #82 then to #83 and with that it worked great. With #83 it finished up mirror smooth and shiny as new.

When we helped move our daughter into her (new to her) older home she bought, I noticed the fiberglass shower stall needed attention and got great results doing this:

I first removed soap scum using moistened Bounce dryer sheets, rinsed and dried then went to OP on a white pad followed by Blackfire GEP on a black and topped w/ DG 111 x2- all done via PC and utility MFs. The result was like night/day and the sheeting action is beyond compare........Heloise got nothin' on us Autopians :getdown
