am considering using VM in place of FTG, open to any other products to add/change to the combo im looking at...

realize switching it up may compromise durability, but dont want the flat/ dull look that seem to be associated with synthetic sealants....

this will be used on a rio red cobra, am gearing my combo to brighten appearance, trying to avoid products that will make it appear darker....

some have said that topping the FMJ with a wax will minimize durability, but will it negatively affect the appearance?

heres what im looking at:

1)FPII

2)FTG/VM

3)FMJ

4) ? (maybe natty's paste or S100?

couldnt do this without you guys, really do appreciate all the support ive gotten from you guys:xyxthumbs

Both Natty's and S100 will deepen the look, Natty's will darken it a bit and s100 is a reflective deepness. As for the "flat/ dull look that seam to be associated with synthetic sealants", that was a long time ago, modern sealants look just as good as their nuba brothers. Z2Pro, Wolfgang, 2180, NXT are just some that I have never heard of as being flat and dull. But if this was a decade or two ago, you would be exactly right those sealants didn't have the pop as the do now. I can part with some natty's/s100/pink if you would trade for some fmj.

burlyq-

i will keep that in mind..

am pretty close to closing my product 'research' out...

an going to see what kind of a deal i can work out with the distributors, as im pretty much starting from scratch....

ill get in touch with you once ive got the products on my shelf!

btw, if the depth is equal, whats the advantage of carnuaba over synthetic sealants???

In general, carnaubas still have more wetness and depth than sealants.

How many layers have you got of FMJ right now?

Maybe you can try adding more layers to add more depth, that's the great thing with sealants.

Adding a carnauba wont hurt durability. Provided you're not using a cleaner wax, all your layers of FMJ will still remain. Natty's or S100 will just an additional coating. They won't last as long as FMJ but they certainly don't hurt it.
