Any wait after applying S100 before QDing?

I never thougth about it, but as I was waxing with S100 for the first time (and very pleased with it, if the sun would just come out) I was QDing immediately after to get rid of any streaks or haze.

Did I pre-weaken the wax? I'm not up on the carnuba curing times.

Also, those who said S100 didn't smell good, I thougth it smelled good. Bees waxy.

I finally decided what the smell of S100 reminds me of: Crayons! Big ol' sixty-four pack of waxy-coloring-goodness smell . . . flashback to kindergarten.

I normally don't QD right after applying S100, mostly because unlike a lot of other waxes, there is little or no residue or haze that I may have missed that a microfiber towel can't handle.

That is exactly what I thought when I opened the container!:xyxthumbs

It doesn't smell that great...

You all need to smell Zymol. Mmmmmm, I just want to stick my finger in there and lick it clean! :D

When I wax one of my cars, I usually let it sit overnight in the garage just to make sure the wax dries. Then in the morning I'll dust it off and apply some QD.

I used to sprinkle the car with distilled water and then buff it to remove any hazing or streaking, usually after letting the wax cure overnight. With P21S I don't do this anymore, I never noticed any streaks or hazing with it, one more reason why I like it so much.:xyxthumbs

Postwood,

I would say if you see a spot or area that doesn't look quiet right after using S100/P21S, go ahead and use the QD. I don't think it will hurt at all.

Sometimes I QD after applying S100/P21S just for the heck of it.

I have just applied my first layer of s100 paint cleaner, and the s100 wax last night. This morning when i went to view the results, i noticed a large dust accumulation on the areas that i had done last, the night before.

Any idea's why this might of happened?

Can i use my Z6 to Q.D. these areas, or should i re-apply the s100 wax?

Thanks for your responses.

How often did you change your towel when buffing? Maybe the towel was dirty?

You can go ahead and QD these areas, any quality QD will do.

Personally if I had Z6 (and something else to use it on) I'd save it and get either a carnauba QD or something cheaper like EO's QD. Z6's claimed special qualities would be wasted in this application IMHO.
