some modifications after reading some posts.
 
The second list is better, but I'd still move a few of them. This is based on rather extensive use of these products, I'll let someone else comment on the ones I haven't used. Oh, and I'm using the 10-0 scale from the FIRST list. Sorry to be less clear than I'd like..



The 3M PI-III MG (pn 05937), currently in "2" isn't really a glaze, it's a polish that oughta be in at least "3", probably in "4".



The 1Z Paint Polish should be in at least "3", MAYBE "4".



The BF polish should be in "3" or even "2".



1Z Metallic should be in "2", or where ever you put Menzerna's Final Polish.



1Z Ultra should be in "5".



*I* think that the two 3M RCs (05933 and 39002) are basically the same, if anything, the 05933 is LESS aggressive, based on side-by-side comparisons on single stage.



The 3M SMRs (39009,39109) should be in "3" they're VERY mild.



Meg's #3 and #7 oughta be together, both are basically nonabrasive, so I'd say in "0" or "1" if that's as mild as you go.
 
That list is a bit of a train wreck. I'm still not sure who created it initially but I think it was culled from stuff read here and other forums as opposed to personal experience and info obtained from the mfrs. It should probably be redone but with active participation from people who have actually used and compared the polishes.
 
This would be a nice little list for me to print out. Would any of the more experienced guys care to update it?? :bounce
 
bretfraz- Yeah, it IS pretty messed up, and looking at my suggestions a day later, maybe one of us really OUGHTA just come up with a new, better list. *I* don't really have the time at the moment, but as you and nosed_b18b said, those of us with actual experience with the products oughta do it. Sorta conspicuous by its absence here...
