Any tips or favorite combinations for silver?

Short notice I know but I will be working on a silver subaru tomorrow. I’m looking for any tips, tricks or favorite products. The paint shouldn’t be in bad shap I do this car about once a year for a friend.

I have many Poorboys products to choose from (PP, SSR1-2.5), PWC, EX, and EX-P. I’ve always achieved good results but was interested if anyone had any favorite combinations of their own.

Thanks
Shawn

What are you looking to achieve with the finish? Are you looking for more depth(which is possible, yet tough to achieve with silver), or are you looking for a wet shine?

In my experience, a sealant will give more of a depth in the finish. I also find that a nice carnauba will give a very nice wet look to the finish. With the products you listed, I'd probably use the SSR's and then top with the EX-P. I really like to top a sealant with a paste wax(Natty's Red is my current favorite), but you didn't list one if you have one.

I do have Nattys Blue but usually let my sealant set for 24 hours before applying it. I don't know if I will have this care that long.

If you are not worried about the sealant longevity then add the wax immediately. The characteristics of the wax will still come thru. Longevity of the sealant is the only thing that will be affected, IMHO.

ok my take is by pc ..use SSR.5 if needed..then SSR1 if needed ..PwC and then spit shine Natty's blue x 2 ...since you don't have the time for the sealant to cure, it won't make enough of a difference to do that step....
if you do this by rotary...substitute the SSR's with PP, this will make the finish brighter and clearer for the metal flake to pop through:)
