Any OTC product comparable to Sonax and IronX?

I about to do a undercarriage detail job along with doing the wheel well area that accumulates alot of brake dust. Looking for a product that will get cut through the brake dust quickly.

You might be able to find Griots HD wheel cleaner at Advance Auto or AutoZone... other than that, your best bet might be to use Meguiars DUB wheel cleaner. These both assume you arent using it on paint.

Will it affect the coloured shock absorbers?

You could try LA Totally Awesome. It`s available at most dollar stores. It`s not comparable to Iron X though but it is a very effective degreaser.

Would you suggest full strength?

I wouldn`t use it full strength. The least I would do is 2:1.
