Any NXT users?

However, if your car is in *almost excellent* condition, a good polish like Meguiars #80 or #82 should be used. An alternative would be to do a application of a cleaner wax like Meguiars ColorX prior to the NXT. I personally like ColorX a lot.

My only complaint with the NXT was that I thought it darkened the color of our red Pontiac GTP. I do thimk it will leave a white residue on some trim, but I don't remember it being a big problem.
The durability has been questioned, but I never left the car alone long enough to notice a degradation.

I third that sentiment. It's a good all in one, and it would probably serve as a god base for the NXT. I also personally like NXT for an OTC "sealant." It's pretty easy to use, easily available, and price comparative.

I've used SSR1 on fairly new cars followed by NXT and it works really good. The darker colors seem to really love the NXT it looks great. I usually apply 2 coats just to make sure I get complete coverage.

I use PB EX applied with a rotary at low speed with a foam pad, applying it until the haze is gone. I then follow up with NXT applyed by a orbital waxer and fresh cotton pad, let sit for 10-15 minutes and remove by hand with a microfiber towel. NXT it decnt for an OTC product, and it has fair durability. I find that after 2-3 washings by hand, the NXT isn't a slick as before and doesn;t bead up as well.

I have found NXT to last quite well for an OTC sealant.
Few months ago I used it on my sisters new Audi. I clayed and polished. Left the paint really nice, buffed off really easy, and beaded tightly for about 2 weeks.
After the 3rd week the slickness went away, the darkening effect was gone, and the beads were no longer tight. They were there, but in odd shapes, ect. I figured this meant it was at its final week or so. Well it wasn't. Its been a few months now (can't remember exactly how long) and the shape and amount of beads have not changed since the post 3 week period, and the paint still behaves the same. Still no slickness, but dirt washes off easily and water sheets off good.
To me Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax was made to protect for a good while but at the same time give and awesome shine. Unfortunately, as many of us have seen its a give or take situation in MOST products. The major shine boost dies down and the beads loosen up, assuming thats when the oils that hide and shine wash away, but the actual protection is still very much there. Nothing a nice QD can fix.

I used to use NXT on my Dakota, prep with SSR's, 2 coats of NXT, and top with Natty's. Looked great, lasted a long time, really made the metal flake pop.

When i use NXT i use either poorboys polish with carnumba, or Kalsse AIO. Then i use Klasse paint sealent, and of course nxt as the lsp

I LOVE NXT (paste!) alone, on top of #21, topped with #26, whatever. I think it is truly a great product!
For prep on immaculate finishes, I use CL68, 1Z HGP, FK1 17, OP, VM/RMG, etc... (the list is looong).

It's one of those word games... Meguiar's calls it a wax but it is actually has synthetic polymers... and says nothing about carnauba being in the product so I'll stick with sealant.

I contacted my Meguiars rep and he said that it definately is NOT a sealant. The definition of a sealant is that a sealant BONDS to the surface chemically, where as the waxes specifically NXT simply sits on the surface.
