I have been contemplating putting a clear bra on my hood my self. Doesn`t appear too difficult if one is careful and take the time.

And then Dr Colorchip to fill in the chips. Just giving suggestions

I`ve done the fill in the chip method and it can be quite a job if I am not on top of it after a long trip. Might just go that way again, but it seems so convenient not to have to deal with fill and polish each chip, and sometimes you may be dealing with many of them.

This true. I do not want you spend the money on the PAINT PROTECTION FILM and have the install go badly and have a mess to remove. Have you priced PPF install for your hood

Its a lot harder than it looks. I should preface this by saying that I am not too handy, and the thought of me with a razor microns away from my paint makes me uncomfortable. If I had the training, I am sure I would learn it and generally whatever I decide to get involved with I strive to be the best at, but just to buy a roll and throw it in I think I would not be happy with my result.

I think it`s pretty pricey - Porsche Macan

Looking at a precut clear bra, so there would be not razors involved.

It`s definitely a lot harder than it looks and talking to installers most will tell you it takes a few years to get "good" at it. The Macan kit, last I heard anyway, had a multi-piece full hood kit, so if you planned to do the whole hood there would be some seams. It can be done in one piece by stretching the film, but at the risk of having stretch marks and most seasoned installers would still struggle doing it in one piece from those I`ve talked to.
