Any hope?

A possible client sent me these pictures asking if i could do anything for his hood. This is a repainted hood and the body shop obviously did a terrible job. He says the paint is "bubbling" but not soft to the touch...



Suggestions? :confused:

Looks like rust to me too. I see those on my 76 Camaro and cry. Once the cancer is there, you have it forever. I would not get involved unless you are a paint shop too.
 
tell the customer to take it back to the body shop that did the repair and tell them to fix it. i also agree that it looks like rust.
 
its a very bad phase of bodyrot. same thing happened to my dads car and eventually it chipped and looked like complete crap...he took it to a guy who cut out the piece, rewelded one on, and repainted it. it look good as new now but there no wway to get that out on ur own
 
OK. Thanks everyone! That is what I thought, but I was hoping to hear something different. Off to the body shop he goes...
