Any drawbacks to creating your own pink wax?

If you mix (50/50) clearkote's red glaze and vinalla moose to make your own pink wax, is there any drawbacks to it as compared to if you'd applied each one separately on your vehicle?

I don't see any point in applying one after another, because both of them contain cleaners and light abrasives, and therefore will remove the previous product.

Mixing them...what benefit do you think you'll see from this?

supposedly it's supposed to be good.........my understanding was that the vanilla moose was more abbrassive and less glazy, while the red glaze is less abrassive and good for prepping the surface

Looking at Scottwax's post it looked like a good mix. Saves yourself a step pretty much.

I don't see how it saves a step, because they are both finishing polishes. Neither one gives much protection by itself.

Instead of going VM<RMG, it can just be Pink Moose.

Previously I had applied all three and with edge blue, edge white then separate edge white, softened with boiled water (melbourne detailers recommendation)

I get better results that way

However mixing VM, RMG and YCMW saves a step and delivers a brilliant finish and some protection supposedly.

Have even mixed the thick moose wax with them.
