Good morning! (Last night was kinda rough... haha) My name's Joe, and I'm a 26 year old weekend warrior from Pittsburgh. I've worked in a couple body shops the past few years, and am looking to break out on my own one of these days. I'm really trying to expand my knowledge past the quickie 1500 grit paper, whatever compound the guy on the truck had for cheap, and a quick coat of glaze method that was pretty well de rigeur at my old shop... Through some trial and error, a whole lot of reading threads here, and some of Mike Phillips's guides I've seen around, I'm finally getting there. I owe you guys a ton of thanks already. Looking forward to meeting some like-minded people and learning a thing or two along the way.

Welcome to DC from Etters PA (just south of Harrisburg) You have chosen a good friendly site to hang around and learn from. By all means if you have the wetsanding experience or any other experience, please share it. I have learned and have grown a ton here at DC.:welcome::dcrules

McKeesport? Sweet. I'm up on Rt 48 in North Versailles, and I got a place in Churchill too. I filled in as the commercial specialist down at the AutoZone on Walnut St. for a while. At least I got a DC neighbor now.

Jeez, I got all kinda neighbors now. I used to spend a fair amount of time loafing up that way... The tattoo studio I go to is up in the heights. We should have a detailing party this summer.

EDIT: Or for that matter, just a plain old party. haha

Indeed. I graduated from East Allegheny, but dated a girl from Kiski back in those days, and used to bounce around from Penn State McKeesport to Pen Ken all the time too. And for the Central PA people, I head to a few of the shows at Carlisle every year, and have been known to head to Lebanon for little to no good reason on occasion.
