Another Opticoat ? - new user

So I just spent my Christmas break polishing out my Toyota Tundra and applying opticoat 2.0. Its my understanding that I can apply a second coat within 30 days without repolishing or "scuffing" up the surface. Has anyone else done this? I know one coat is sufficient but i was thinking about applying it again just in case i missed any spots. Also, could i just do an onr wash and go straight to opticoat or should I do another ipa wipedown? Thanks!

You can do an ONR wash (but not ONR Wash and Wax) and go straight to Opti-Coat. Or you can wash with ONR, then follow with another bucket of water and isophoric alcohol (about 30% is enough alcohol) and wash it again, ONR style.

wild shot in the dark but im going to say because it has wax in it

FWIW i tried claying on semi-fresh OC (>24hr < 48hr) and had micromarring. wash with caution till it fully cures >30days

Why not ONR W&W???

It has wax in it, might interfere with the bonding.

Take a lot more than IPA to affect Opti-Coat.

I was walking back from class today and saw a gray Tundra which looked like it was just opti-coated so that is why I was asking.

Oh ok, no that wasn't me. I live in WV. I have noticed that the opticoat does give a distinct look to my truck though compared to anything else I've had on it. It used to wear fk1000p which is a great sealant in its own right, just wanted the lasting durability of a coating.
