Another Mixing Experiment

I was looking at Jeff Werkstatts Carnuba Jett and figured I'd mix it with something just out of randomness lol. So I decided to mix in a 2oz spray bottle. I started with some Z2 pro then some CJ and a touch of Opti Seal for good measure I left some room to shake in the bottle so I'd say % wise each 10% Opti-Seal 60% CJ then probably 30% Z2 Pro. So far I have tried it as a wipe on wipe off and a leave on for a while 15 minutes then wipe off. Either way seems to yield pretty nice results and IMO it removes easier then CJ in pure form.



Anyone else try any CJ mixes yet?

I mix 50% Optimum Car Wax with 50% Carnauba Jett. Ease of use is the same as OCW but the added carnauba of CJ gives more depth. I use it on its own or to remove Carnauba Moose.



Works pretty good if you ask me (CMW buffed off with OCW/CJ blend)!

i mixed up some KAIO and OPS the other night. and some natty's red, s100, and MaxWax. haven't tried either yet tho.



edit: did some blue moose and OC also.

Sorry to go OT, but is that a special model Vette? Maybe it's just your polishing job or the black wheels, but the rear flares look much more pronounced.

He has the Z06 rear fenders. And nitrous. Lots of it. :xyxthumbs

Thanks, I'm not up on the current 'Vettes....I was going to ask if the Z06 was akin to the ZR-1 of 15 year or so ago, but after reading at Wiki I see it's a bit more complicated than that.

Scott,

I just love your "concoctions"! When you first hit this site with "pink moose", I took your advise and use often on my black paint. Now you've got me all a tither and foaming at the mouth to mix up some CJ/OCW! I'm about to mix some up and buff out a layer of souveran on my car. Many thanks to you and your skills and ideas. :woot2:
 
Rob-don't credit me for the OCW/CJ mix. I don't remember who came up with it first but I know I good idea when I steal one. ;)
 
Scott- Thanks for your humbleness. I learned that the OCW/CJ mix doesn't like high humidity. 93 degrees with 85% humidity, here today. Brutal! I tested out the mix on my trunk lid, under my carport. Paint was clean and cool to the touch. All it did was smudge around. I stopped right there. I cleaned it up with some Wolfgang Detail Spritz. That did the trick. ( It's been atleast a year since I've used the WG Spritz. I had forgotten how user friendly it is, and went on to QD the whole car with it. ) Since I was itching to apply a layer of Souveran on my car, I decided to go with a combo I was very happy with from last year. Out came the FX-100. No problems at all in the high humidity. I applied/removed a thin layer of FX-100. At that point, my black paint was looking deep, wet & rich. It kicked my 2 week old combo of WMF/Natty's Blue up a major notch. Finished it off with a nice layer of Souveran............Amazing & delicious! I'll have to wait for the humid weather to pass before I try out the OCW/CJ mix. Perhaps after next weeks wash?
 
Yeah, should be fine after a week and a wash. If you have some Carnauba Moose, it works great buffing it off. Apply CMW to the whole car, then go back over it with OCW/CJ.

Kudos to Gen2 for the OCW/CJ mix. Can't wait to try it out in less humid weather.



Scott- I've had and used CMW for some time now. Another solid product from CK. Pink Moose and CMW is a great combo for dark colored paints. Ultra easy to apply/remove. And by the way.........That Vette looks tremendous, my friend. Superior craftmanship!

I couldn't agree more! Ease of use, durability/longevity/protection, looks/finish, value. It's an all around winner.
 
Sorry to get even farther off topic. Anyone know when Gen2 came up with the idea for the OCW/CJ mix?
