i have the IP and FP. i have asked you guys about how often to use each product and so on.



i usually use the IP with the yellow CMA pad

Fp with the white polishing pad



can i use the IP with a white pad ?? does this make sense ?? same abrasiveness in the product but not as strong of a cutting pad ??

My initial impression is by rotary yes, you can because I understand Menzerna makes its polishes to polish to a ready to protect finish when used this way.



But by PC, I have stuck only to IP by yellow pad. I guess the worse thing it could do is by white pad it may leave its own micromarring behind and/or cloud the finish :nixweiss
 
well i do use the PC, so i guess i'll just have to stay on top of things, and make sure, i keep the swirls to a minimum :xyxthumbs
 
I am curious as well to how often you guys would use the IP and FP. So far since July, i have used both IP and FP twice on my car. And the rate at which my swirls are starting to come back it looks like it needs it again. I cant believe the swirls are coming back, I dont understand, i make sure my wash mitts are clean, my MF towels are clean and everything.....I guess being that my car is outside 24/7 and daily driven i have to accept it.
 
IMO, that's a little too much polishing. Daily driven cars that sit outside, will never stay perfect.
 
i believe from my other posts that IP can be used 2xs a year and FP can be used 4-5xs.



If you stay on top of your washing and drying, you should only have to use FP to remove minor swirls. that is what i did. no more polishing until spring time.



mine sits outside too, so mine sees everything. including snow.



just bought a leaf blower to dry :xyxthumbs even after i bought a waffle weave MF for drying :rolleyes: ;)
