So thats where Joe is today. On a side note, I really need to get some of those Surbuff pads, they look like they cut really well.

I've been trying to keep him busy. :)

Surbuf will get it done! Different process from KBM with foam or MF, light pressure (weight of machine) and spritz water to extend polishing time. (I know water can be used with MF, but with surbuf its more of a requirement.) Depending on hardness of the clear you are working, sometimes require a quick middle polishing step. Joey has it down pretty well, so he can show you. Also a 7" surbuf pad with a standard sized 6" BP works out the best. It helps the fingers stand a little better. If the fingers curl over like a J-hook, they don't cut as well and will create more marring then necessary.

did you do the whole car in direct sun? I found that 105/surbuf combo to be VERY hard to work with in direct sun on hot paint. That test spot does look impressive though.

They are a necessity in any arsenal, and at i think like $13 for 2 pads, thats worthwhile to boot.

Thanks again for your help Joey! We just might get a little bit of gloss out of this swirled up paint yet.

Center cropped pic of the rear deck.

Compounded with surbuf/m105 via GG.

It will get 2 more steps resulting in a better then new gloss!

Thanks Chad! Delivered the car today to a very happy client. Joey and I worked on it till 10p last night to get it done.

I took some sun shots and videos prior to delivery. Hope to have those up soon.
