Another Car, I Need Help

Ok guys in a week or two ill be going at another family members car, 98 Hyundai Tiburon. Black and it is desperate need of some TLC major swirls lots of scratches. I will be using zaino but i know i will need to do some pre-waxing steps what would you suggest. What products should I use? I just bought some 3M SMR and CMA foam pads. Would you suggest getting a PC? Would I see better results?

Damn...that thing is thrashed.

Did the previous owner wash it with sandpaper.

Those "scratches" look WAY deep! I wouldn't even call those swirls...I hope u've got the receipt for that SMR, cause you're gonna need to return that and get something way stronger like a rubbing compound.
 
Hmmm....I keep getting a "forbidden" message and can't see the pictures this morning. I'll check a little later today.
 
That car is in rough shape. Looks to me like the scuff marks have seriously damaged the clearcoat. No amount of SMR will remove them and a PC will take 1/2 a lifetime to get them out.



An experienced hand with a rotary and a variety of products are needed to tackle this nightmare. Looks like someone drove it thru the woods and tree branches marred the paint.

The car has been through a lot. It has never been garaged, 4 years of college, gravel roads, and harsh winters. Those are the worst spots on the car. Do any of you know products that I can use to blend them out? Has anyone taken on a similar project, and has suggestions? Any comments would be appreciated.

WOW! I would ask if you can catch you finger nail in the scratches But it look like I could get my arm caught! I wish I knew what to say to help...........:nixweiss
