As I reflect back on 2014, I though it would be fun to share the top 10 detailing tools that stood out to me over the last year.
Now these aren't necessarily new products to the market, but ones I enjoyed using for the first time. Ok, with that being said, here we go!
#1 BLACKFIRE Foam Wax Applicators

Why all foam applicators aren't made like this I don't know. It's super soft foam that's easy to hold and helps prevent hand fatigue after applying wax to an entire vehicle. These suckers rock and make spreading a thin layer of wax a joy.
#2 Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner

Dang, I never knew my tires where so dirty or could look so much better dressed up once cleaned. Watch for a Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner Vs.
DP Tire Cleaner & Restorer comparison review in 2015.
#3 Nanoskin Autoscrub Speedy Sponge (fine grade)

You mean I can continue to use it after dropping it on the ground by simply washing it off? Yes please!
#4 Detailer’s Pro Series Polishing Pad Rejuvenator.

Bought this on a whim, and will never want to go back to using dish soap again. Cleaning used pads has never been faster or easier.
#5 Menzerna SF 4000

Yup now I see why everyone loves it.
#6 Carpro Spotless

Being able to remove water spots without the need to break out a machine works for me! Another awesome product from CarPro!
#7 Marine31 Mildew Remover

Let's face it, mildew is disgusting. I was totally impressed by how fast M31's mildew remover acts to destroy mildew build up. One spray and mildew vanishes before your eyes.
#8 Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax

When paired with a microfiber waffle weave drying towel I love using Meg's UQW as a drying aid after a 2B wash. If you haven't tried using a spray wax to help dry your vehicle better and faster UQW is great option. I doubt you'll ever dry a vehicle without it again.
#9 1Z Einszett Kristallklar Premium Windshield Washer Fluid Concentrate

If there's one single pet peeve of mine its dirty glass. I can't stand cloudy, smeary, hazy windshields. I go through a ton of window washer fluid year round, so I'm always on the look out for OCD friendly products. When mixed with tap water, a single $8.99 bottle of 1Z Kristallklar Concentrate mixes up to 7 gallons of premium washer fluid @ $1.28 per gallon making it cheaper alternative then buying the blue stuff. Plus if you're traveling you can keep a bottle of 1Z Kristallklar with you and mix on the go. The only drawl back is 1Z Kristallklar will freeze at lower temps, so its year round use is limited.
Staying on the crystal clear glass theme, my last (yet most recently used) product is...
#10 Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Glass Coating

There's no better way to drive through pouring rain then with a super slick glass coating forcing water bead up and fly off your windshield. I've tried many different hydrophobic windshield products, from Rain-X, to PIAA super silicone wiper blades, GTechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating, and now Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Glass Coating. Until now my go to was the PIAA super silicone wiper blades. By depositing a thin layer of silicone with every stroke to your windshield, PIAA SSWB maintaining a hydrophobic coating forcing water up and away. The blades work extremely well but seem to keep going up and up in price so naturally I started looking for other options. GTechniq G5 Water Repellent Coating was a huge disappointment in terms of durability and performance. However, PBL Diamond Glass Coating is proving it's worth after driving through a few heavy downpours and I couldn't be happier about it. PBL Diamond Glass Coating is another one I plan to do a full 2015 review on.
So thats my top 10 list for 2014. I hope you enjoyed reading it! I'd love to see what what your favorite products were for 2014!!!
