and $1400 later...

:D

I can't stop grinning. This is the best $1400 I've ever spent.

I just got my Sensei Carpet Extractor!!! This thing is a friggin' beast!

It is a 6-gallon solution tank and a 6-gallon recover tank.

It has an inline heater and it gets the water HOT! The hose was getting hot and the metal connectors that connect the hose to the machine and the detail tool would burn you if you touched them. Whenever I extracted and was sucking up water the metal vacuum tip would get warm from the sucked up water.

The vacuum on this thing is also a beast. It takes 13amps on its own! After doing a section of carpet it would be like 95% dry in 15mins. I'd have to really press my hand down and rub it around to find any damp spots.

Of course, right off the bat I have to trip a breaker... Pulls a lot of power. I need to get a generator soon now to run this thing.

It is also a lot of fun to use. I love it! Here is a pic of some of the dirty water that came out of the recover tank when I was done. Look at all the dirt it pulled out!

And here is a picture of the beast itself!

I think I'm gonna get a floor wand for it so I can use it to do all my home carpets. I'm gonna try to do a whole bunch of carpets tomorrow. This thing is fun to use.

NIIIICE !!!

Those commercial extractors are great! This thing will make car carpets look like new again and the work is a breeze.

What chemicals are you going to use? I've had good results with Ramsey's.

I've been using Pro's Heavy Duty Interior Cleaner for carpets and it has worked great. He said I could continue to use it but he gave me a free gallon of Pro's Extract Power (or something like that) to try.

It is really concentrated. I think it is 40 to 1. He said I could run it through the solution tank. Said use about 2oz. per 6 gallons of water. He suggests though I put it in a spray bottle and just run clean water throught he extractor, which I plan on doing. He said this stuff is suppose to be low foaming so it won't damage the extractor with lots of suds.

You can always buy stuff reducing suds, just pour some into recovery tank. I don't think it's that easy to break those things, they are usually built to last with all kinds of safety cut off switches. Just keep an eye on the vacuum and the heater.

That is good buy! Too bad I don't have $1,400 to spare.;)

That's a real man's tool. You're finally becoming a real Pro Detailer. I'm happy for you that you bought it - extractors are worth every penny. :up :up

This thing is soo cool. I can't stop messing with hit.

Can anyone tell I'm excited? :D

I've been looking for an extractor for like a month. Mytees and Ninjas but I kept hearing things about the Sensei. I actually decided to buy it this afternoon when I was at the bank.

I made a call at like 4:45 to my distributor who closes at 5 and told them. I'm coming over to get an extractor, wait for me and they did. I didn't get there till about 5:30 and they had it all out and waiting for me. I then talked with him till about 6:30 about the extractor, paint, hitting animals in your car, business, etc.

Was just thinking... I've got more equipment than I can fit in my truck now... this is a problem...

Awesome. Looks like the JR version of the one we had at the dealership - that thing got used 12hrs a day, non-stop, and never had a problem in the 7 years I worked there.

Again, too cool. Have fun with that animal!

It looks like you made a good buy, i've been looking into buying an Extractor this spring, the Ninja Hot Water Carpet Extractor and the Sensei are on the top of short list.

Alright, it is only 11 here... I think I'll go pull out the flood lights. I have to do some more extracting.
LOL I think you're addicted!

13 amps?!? Pretty soon these things will have to be registered with mandatory handling courses!

My carpets are black, but even I'm starting to eye those little Bissels longingly...

I got mine for $40 on sale at a "Value City" department store here.... unfortunately I have to wait until christmas to use it (so says the wife). Its the "Little Green ProHeat Turbobrush" one, basically the top model one thats usually ~$100 (Model 1725-1) :up

I'm hoping it can do a decent job and atleast keep up with what I'll be doing with it. :up

Hey, that is a good deal. :up That's the exact model I see all the time, runs about $90 Cdn (~$60 US) at the low end.

I always wondered how it powered the brush without a motor and found out it's vaccum powered. You turn off the suction and the brush starts spinning. Kinda neat, but I hope it works well.

My Pro dist said they've had to replace 2 heaters and 3 pumps on the Ninja units they've sold in the last year. They've only had to replace 1 heater unit on the Sensei in the last year and that was because the guy let it freeze and it cracked. He said in the 12 years they have been selling the Sensei they've only had to replace around 3 heaters. The Ninja unit they have is also around $300 more than the Sensi.

What is the exact name and model of the extractor? Thanks

It is the Century 400 Sensei Model 406-135HMO.

Does the unit come complete? Or are their extras.

Where did ya get it andddddddd Hooowwww Muuccchhhh $$$$

It looks like a well made unit.

Yes, the unit was $1400 w/ tax. It is $1295 and it comes w/ the extractor tool, 25ft of vacuum and 25ft of solution hose.

I got it from Heiden Industries down here in Nawlins. If you PM me I'll be glad to send you the guys name and phone number. Maybe he can ship you one.

that thing is friggin sweet! wanna do my carpets?

Sure, now, your location says hell... Where exactly is hell?

We bought a Hoover SteamVac V2 about a month ago, and I must say that for $200, it's been pretty dang impressive. It doesn't generate as much heat or suction as the Sensei, but for general steam cleaning around the house, I have 0 complaints with it.

The first time we did our carpets (which are only about 1yr old), the water was so muddy I couldn't believe it; chunks of mud in it....

Gotta love steam cleaners - I'm trying to talk my wife into the Sensei. "But honey, I promise I would steam the stairs if we get it."
