An Essential Book for Detailing and Life

Now this book isn't detailing-related per-se, but you need to pull in customers to get cars to detail! This book will help A LOT with that. An amazing book, definitely one of the best I've ever read. It will improve your people skills by leaps and bounds. And it's from 1936. I would really recommend the paperback or an e-reader, but if you're desperate you can find it in PDF form online.

I would recommend buying it ASAP so it's at least laying around and tempting you to read it. It is true, I would say this book is priceless, and it's structured in a way that you don't have to read it all at once. I guarantee it will improve your business, whether it's enticing new customers or forming a better relationship with the ones you have. Funny thing is, that it puts you in a good mood when you read it too, it's that good.

It's certainly classic---I would say in a big nutshell most of it focuses on psychological strategy applied in the real world in a socially acceptable manner and with many win-win situations and results.

Definitively one (of many) books to read before you die. It has great advise for life, relationships and business.

My old company used to send what they considered to be up and coming (management material) Engineers on a course built around this book

I can see why! Got any other good self-help book recommendations?

This has long been my favorite book. I have a copy that I have gone through and highlighted and underlined so I can go through it as a refresher every so often.

Funny thing is, when you read it you can't help thinking "Duh, I knew that." But then you realize that you missed many opportunities just that day to apply it. I can't believe all the books they make you read in high school and this isn't one of them.

It's amazing isn't it? Made me realize that they don't offer a course that is similar to this book at my college, which would be amazing. The closest thing is Public Speaking class which is an absolute joke.

Thanks TOWGT :) Great list, I'll be reading all of those in the near future!

weird!!!!!!! Just picked the book up again last week. Read it about 15 years ago and found it in the garage last week and decided to read it again. Absolutly the best book in its category I have ever read. I have used its lessons everyday since I read it the first time and thought a refresher would be good. I also have a bunch of his audio tapes that have his lessons taught by later speakers.
