So I recently purchased some new products to try out. I picked up some AMMO PLUM rim cleaner and AMMO MUD tire and trim gel. I didn't have time this weekend to really clean my car, but I was able to test out the AMMO PLUM. I noticed when I opened it up the smell was like fruit punch. Was very pleasant and fruity. I hear IronX doesn't have too good of a smell, so right off the back this product gets a plus. The product cost $20.
Here is what I got with my order. I went ahead and got one of his tire gel applicator pads to try out as well.
So here is how my rims initially looked. They weren't really dirty.... Until I took my Soul in for it's free oil change and tire rotation.
So here we go. Filled my rim bucket with some shampoo and my Daytona Jr. for the back part of my rims. I have a brush in there too to help scrub the AMMO PLUM on the outside of the rims.
Here's some shots of the initial spraying of the AMMO PLUM
The PLUM is starting to work
At this point I began to clean inside the rims and then I cleaned the outer surface off.
And Here is the final product.
My final thoughts. Since I have not tried any other iron remover products like IronX I really cant compare its ease of use to other products like it. I can say that made cleaning the outer rims very ease with my brush and pretty much all the hard work was taken out of the equation. It did indeed help get some grime and brake dust that was hiding in around the lug nuts out. Also, as I said before the smell was very pleasant. My rims were not that dirty, but by the end of it I used about a 1/4 of the bottle. I will use it sparingly, but I cant wait till I give it another go.
