What a fantastic movie. Bradley Cooper's performance was top notch. The end of the movie was quite tough to watch.... I've never heard a theater full people exit so quietly. You could've heard a pin drop

Is it any surprise that the fat sack of crap Michael Moore had the gall to refer to snipers as cowards? The same America hating leftest that lies, distorts and misrepresents, the same POS that doesn't appreciate the freedom he's allowed by the men and women in our armed services. I would suggest to that scumbag to come down to NC, right down the road from me is a little base called Ft Bragg, I'm sure the guys in sniper training would love to discuss politics and such. Let's see who the coward is now asrehole, come on down.
Oh - and bring your clone Seth Rogen too

I noticed the same thing. Plus it was the first time in a while I have not seen people jump up to rush out of the theater. I don't think a single person got up to leave until the credits had stopped.

Great Reviews, thanks to all !

I have not had a chance to see it, but will try to see it soon..

Watching the News, I have seen Chris Kyle's Dad and Chris Kyle's Wife interviewed and wow - these are some incredible people as well..
it was all Sean Hannity could do to keep from breaking up while interviewing them..

My good friends, this is really the Core, the actual Fabric of what it means to be an American in this the most choice, blessed Nation in the world...

My Dad had 4 brothers - all 5 of them were in the Army during WWII - 3 of them parachuted behind German lines on the Invasion of Normandy, D-Day, 2 of them were deployed to the Philippine Islands..

These great men and others like your Dads or GrandDads were totally committed to the the Cause and to the Country - this Country they left us even better, after all they went through...

No complaining, whining, protesting, etc... And all were injured in battle..

One, the youngest brother, my Uncle Mariano, was in a Company that they made a movie about later... You may know the movie.. He could not even begin to talk about the year he spent in Europe, until right before he passed away...
He should have died there and was about to die, but at the last second, his life was spared...

They are all gone now to that great Spirit World where they have had an incredible reunion, and are anxiously awaiting all of us - their children to return to them and our dear Mothers someday..

God Bless all who are willing to lay down their lives for their brothers...

I have not seen and will not likely see it until it is on demand or something. I just do not go to the movies...too expensive (one item I try not to spend money on).

Excellent movie and I agree about the ending. Very sad and I felt like I was leaving a funeral. I'm in Texas and the following Texan Chris Kyle had here was HUGE. He has been missed tremendously. RIP Chris. Texas and the rest of America miss you dearly.

I get that, my wife and I are certainly more selective about the movies we go see since we have kids now and don't get out as much. Some movies are just worth it though, and this is one of them

And for anybody that has seen the movie but not read the book.....do yourself a favor and pick up a copy. Not to take anything away from the movie, because there's only so much you can squeeze into 2 hours, but the book is just awesome.

I dropped by with my husband and got a chance to see this movie. My husband, a former U.S. Marine has been through multiple deployments and lost two close brothers in arms (KIA). This movie truly made my husband flash back to his deployment days, it captures Ramadi, Iraq in exact detail. He was blown away at how precise the little details that Clint Eastwood captured in the movie, from the night vision goggle helmet attachments, to the cat eyes on the back of each troops kevlar and much more. It made me feel as if Clint Eastwood not only captured the great legend's life & story but also the lives of each military personal and the effects on their transition & their families. It deserves more than an Oscar.

Im glad that your Husband is home safe..

I believe what I have been reading and listening to, is that Clint Eastwood was wanting to capture - as you said - the lives of each of the soldiers and how their deployments affected their families...
Starting with Chris Kyle and his family...

Not so much a war movie about killing and blowing up stuff... And he has apparently nailed it !! Im so glad !!!

I hope to be able to see this sometime soon..

definitely a great movie, but I thought "lone survivor" was better. where would we be without troops who don't hesitate to go in harm's way for us? :usflag
