looks nice! How long have you been using the ultima line? How do you like it?

About 3 months and I love it. Extremely expensive line, but very well worth it. A little goes a long way and the protection lasts longer than any other product I have tried. It is also the easiest application.

Nice depth, Great work!

While I don't doubt the car has depth, I am wondering how you can pick up a 3 dimensional illusion in a 2 dimensional picture.

Depth is a perception based on the different images each eye sees. The great the difference in the "pictures" the closer something looks, the less difference the "picture" the further away something looks.

I'm curious as to how you are able to pervice depth on a 2d computer screen?

Lol! :grinno: Dude, you can't be serious. Would anybody like to spend some time answering his question?

I'm serious. Depth is not possible to pick up on a 2d picture because it is a 3d ILLUSION. I'm not being a jerk at all, and like I said, I don't doubt one bit that the car has awesome depth. I'm just curious as how you can possibly see the illusion of depth (which doesn't exist) in 2 dimensions.

What I think is funny as you blowing off the question like it has no merit. How do you judge depth (which doesn't exist) on a 2D picture.

The only depth perception we have in a 2D world is created by perspective. In a reflection, we get the perspective of object being reflected. That is the depth of the object being reflected, vs. the depth the reflection is occuring at. Since we talk about depth as the "altitude" level of the reflection in the reflected medium, it is impossible to convey in a picture.

Don't get me wrong, I look a pictures and feel they look deep, but the only true way to know is see the car in person. I'm curious as to how you look at a picture and feel it looks deep, and was wondering if its the same way I percive it.

Thats all...

I seriously have no answer to your question. Perhaps one of the pros can answer it, I am just an enthusiast. What do you say Scottwax, would you like to give this one a shot? Or better yet, why don't we leave the deep discussions on perception to cognitive psychologists and on the properties of light and wavelenghts to physicists and just move on and continue enjoying each other's work. :grinno:

I'm not picking on you. The pictures look great! Its just that depth REALLY doesn't translate into photos. It cannot, which is why when somebody says a picture looks deep, I'm trying to figure out how they can tell.
