Amaz water stain remover

One of the reasons I originally came to DC was to find something to remove the water spots from my glass.
I have tried many things over the past few years and nothing worked.

Earlier this year I began working for a company that deals with AGR (auto glass replacement) and I noticed a few of my customers buying a product called Amaz and I asked them if it worked, and they all said it worked great. So I figured I would try it on my Taurus and sure enough it did.

I applied it to cleaned glass with a yellow applicator.
I let it sit for a few minutes before removing w/ a MF. It took a few passes but the stains did come out :yay

The manufacturer does say that you can use a scrubber pad or a buffer for larger areas. So I would guess that a PC with a polishing pad would work well.
I may try it and see if it speeds up the cleaning.

They say that it is NOT SAFE for use on
soft plastics (Plexiglas) or clear coats, lacquered surfaces or shiny paint.

so be careful.
I avoided the trim so I don't know if it will stain.

That's Amazing Jay, scribble that one in my wish list :D...I have tried a few waterspot removers and not really pleased with them
 
That stuff works awesome! We use it on the shower doors of some of our rentals and it makes even the worst glass look almost new :rockon
 
looks interesting I am always looking for something for water spot removal...seems that no matter what car I work on there is WS....

This is a paste correct? something that you apply with the foam pad then let dry and wipe off...


I found that my local True Value Hardware has it
 
Dave, it's a "loose" paste. I would say about the consistency of PB's WS.
I applied it with a regular foam pad but it can be applied with something with more bite.

I think that there must be a chemical reaction as well because they say to let it sit for a few minutes.
I've used it a few times at work on some of the glass that was returned, but nothing where it was on the glass for a few years like on my car.

Thanks will be picking some up today and trying it out on some shower doors....practice on that then develop the process for the cars
 
Well I got some and tried it on some camper windows that had a lot of WS....this stuff kicks tail on water spots....It felt like green gum of sorts....went on easy...dried to a white paste color...and came off easy....used some on a shower door and it took years of WS off that as well.....highly recommended IMO

If you check the CAS number on the MSDS for this product, it is made with Naptha, a petroleum distillate. Probably why it works so good!
 
where can you buy this? Anyone know of any stores that carry this? I searched on the site, but there were no local places listed.
