Am I doing it right?

I own a 2005 Black Dodge Ram 4x4 Standard Cab W/ a Hemi and 20" Rims. I try to be careful in everything I do, detailing included. Here is the process I have done since I purchased my truck in January.

-Rinse entire vehicle, including wheel wells and wheels/tires and undercarriage

-Gold Class Meguiars soap in a bucket with a Meguiars Wheel Face Brush to wash the wheels. Rinse with water on shower mode.

-Wash wheel wells and tires with the same bucket I used for the wheels

-Dump out bucket, rinse and inspect and fill again with Meguiars Gold Class Soap

-Wash truck with a meguiars Ultra Plush Mitt, starting at my hood and working my way to upper side panels, tonneau cover and tailgate.

-Rinse vehicle

-Dump out bucket, rinse and inspect and fill again with Meguiars Gold Class Soap

-Using a different Meguiars Ultra Plush Mitt, wash the lower body panels and front bumper and grill.

-Rinse vehicle and sheet the water on the truck

-Starting at the hood and working my way to the upper side panels, tonneau cover, tailgate and finally the lower body panels and front bumper/grille, I dry with a Meguiars Chamois Cloth.

-Touch up areas I couldn't get with the Chamois with a Meguiars Water Magnet.

-Dry windows with Meguiars Water Magnet

-Dry Wheels with Terry Towels

-Apply Meguiars Insaine Tire Shine on tires

I do this on average twice a week, including once a week I spray with Meguiars Quick Detailer. I also wax once a month with Meguiars Gold Glass Wax.

Am I doing a good job or should I be doing something different?? :nixweiss

A couple of buckets would make life easier for you(I use just one also :nixweiss for some crazy reason) and so would a few waffle weave drying towels and some quality microfiber towels.

Maybe venture on and try something else besides the Gold Class wax just to see the difference and test the longevity. Other than that , gotta love black !!!
