Alloy shavings all over my patinwork

I was porting and polishing a cylinder head outside the other day...It was a glorious day so I figured taking my work outside was a good idea.

Unfortunately it was a little windy and I had to keep the garage door open for the compressor air line to connect to my die grinder.

After completing the work I went inside the garge to pack up, and noticed that the car is covered with alloy shavings from my exploits.

As you can probably imagine I am pretty anxious to get rid of these as quickly and efficiently as possible without causing any unnecessary damage to the paintwork.

I figure the hose may well get rid of most of the swarf, but I'm also reluctant to use my chenillle wash mit on the paint until the swarf has completely gone.

Any suggestions on the best way to deal with this potentially disastrous situation.... I'm only going to get one shot at doing it right:(
