They're 6"

"Sonus SFX 6 polishing pads are precision made for use with dual-action polishers or rotary buffer."

Here's the full description on the Sonus SFX System Foam Pads...

Sonus SFX 6 polishing pads are precision made for use with dual-action polishers or rotary buffer. Sonus SFX pads feature engineered prepolymer foams that are hydrophilic, meaning they quickly absorb polish and swell. The prepolymer foam offers superior durability and generates just the right amount of work (heat) to offer great polishing action, even with a dual-action machine.

The hydrophilic nature of the SFX pads improves polish “hang time, which is the amount of buffing you can perform before your polish dries out, forcing you to stop and apply more polish. The benefit is an even and complete break down of the polishing oxides for a perfectly clear final finish.

Unlike most foam pads, which have their Velcro backing applied after the foam disk is cut, the Velcro backing is applied to the SFX foam in its sheet form during the foam manufacturing process. The lamination process creates a complete bond between the Velcro and foam that will not delaminate under the extreme stress of a high performance dual-action polisher.

Sonus SFX pads are very dense. They have a small, uniform cell structure that efficiently transmits energy to the polish, allowing it create a finer paint finish. Even the SFX-3 Final Finish pad is dense, whereas most final finish pads are soft and spongy. The density allows pressure to be applied to the pad, without forcing out all of the polish, for a superior final finish.

NOTE: Sonus SFX pads must be use in conjunction with a Velcro backing plate from 4.75" to 6". For improved polishing safety, a flexible backing plate is recommended.

I thought I would also post the full description on the Sonus SFX Polish System too. ;)

SONUS SFX (special effects) PAINT POLISHES are blended by European chemists with more than 60 years of automotive polish experience. While other European polish makers specialize in automotive assembly line polishes, the SONÜS SFX series is specifically engineered to restore, enhance and perfect original and repaired paint through the vehicle's entire lifecycle.

Three levels of polish and pads comprise the SFX line: SFX-1, -2 and -3. The purpose of each polish is as simple as: RESTORE * ENHANCE * FINAL FINISH

SONUS RESTORE (SFX-1) is a fast-action cutting and paintwork restoration polish. Use SFX-1 to cut and buff 1200 grit sanding marks (after paint repairs), heavy swirl marks, surface scratches, orange peel and severe oxidation. You may also use SONÜS SFX-1 to repair the damage cause by water spot etching and bird droppings. This is the right polish to use when paint is in rough condition to the blend body shop repairs. It beautifully removes finish marring and restores aged finishes.

SONUS ENHANCE (SFX-2) is a buffered swirl-mark reducer and gloss-enhancing polish. Use SFX-2 to restore full gloss after compounding with SFX-1 or to remove fine scratches, swirl-marks and light oxidation. This is the right polish to use to maintain an as-new on daily-use vehicles.

SONÜS FINAL FINISH (SFX-3) is an ultra-fine show car polish and finishing glaze designed to produce exceptional depth and gloss on all new, like-new and show car paint finishes. SFX-3 produces show car finish results on all dark colors and metallic finishes. With regular use, SFX-3 improves and maintains finish clarity for mirror-like results.

Okay guys, thanks for the emails and PMs, last chance, the "CarGirl" code will now work through tomorrow, Valentine's Day.

Lynn

:woohoo: Thanks Lynn. I tried to use it but it's still showing up as expired. I'll try again in a couple of hours.

Also, I hate to be greedy, but is there any chance that you can include the v.2 pads again as well? It doesn't hurt to ask, right?

Damn, not the leather conditioner?:aww:

I still have a bottle left I use on the Porsche and have asked others over at RENNLIST in the 997 forum to give it a try as I inform them they won't be dissapointed.

This from a user of Z-10, which is fine for Lexus type leathers and others as the fragrance of the Z-10 is close to Lexus and too overpowering for German leather. Unless Sal has a newer version, it still works the same, but just a bit stong on the leather sent.

What I found surprising with Sonus was how it releases the original tanning oil smell from the Porsche leather. After an hour, open the door and I was greeted with the new leather smell when I took delivery. The feel of the leather was also dead-on, not slimy, but had a gripping feel to the leather so you do not slide in the seat (being sport adaptive that's a good thing) or get the feel of too soft a leather treatment.

Still, a great product no matter what price!!:bigups

Deanski

'Lynn, thanks for the response. I wound up buying SFX 1, 2 and 3 and Sonus pads, but just used the general AUTOPIA 10% code since I bought a couple other non-Sonus things as well.'
