All I need is neck bolts...

Shows some of the stuff they did. The plate and screws are holding a piece of cadaver bone between the two vertebrae. The doc says he's hoping that bone will grow completely through the cadaver bone, and that it's off to a pretty good start. Total grow-through will take another 8 weeks, though. The other stuff they did isn't visible in x-ray.

SuperBee364- Cool pic, thanks for posting it!

Eight weeks sounds quick for some reason

I'm guessing your last visit with the doc went OK...

Cool.

Sounds like you are almost ready for action.

Chomping at the bit, man.. :) I feel *great* which *really* makes it hard to not just grab my polishers and get to work.

Wow, that looks painful. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks, Rusty, but I've been almost completely pain free ever since the surgery. :D The nerves that were almost pinched off have been released, so the post-surgical pain has been a piece of cake compared to what it was before the surgery. For the first time in years, I feel *great*!

That's in addition to the five weeks that it's been since surgery now. Yup, the visit went great! He says that amount of bone growth is right on schedule for how long it's been.

Now it's just a matter of convincing myself to take it easy since I feel so much better than I have for such a long time.

There sure is!

I had a very bad week at work ( a 15 hour extremely stressful day) and after washing one of my trucks I feel much better. I can sit back and admire a glossy ride.

Make shiny = happy Bill
