Alfa Romeo 4C in for film and new car prep, as I did not estimate the car before it came in this time I was in for a shock on the condition. Wrestling the championship belt for paint defects away from Ferrari on a brand new vehicle.

Nice and dirty upon arrival to the shop.

Factory film removed.

Sanding scratches, hologram's were everywhere.

Tight areas were corrected by hand.

There was tremendous shrink on the doors, a heavy cut yielded more clarity.

Alfa did not even try to correct parts of the car, heavy 1500 grit scratches.

Working out the defects.

Every panel was horrible.

Many hours went into this very small car with BIG defects, finally to the polishing stage.

Customer now has a car that looks as good as it drives, very cool car and unique.

Fantastic work! I am amazed that Alfa allowed those defects to leave the factory! That said, their reputation for quality control (or lack thereof....), as everyone knows, is well known.

Thanks for taking the time - great results!

Wow, that's the look of abused paint indeed. Obviously the factory does not consider the finish of a new car as being important. I love the wheels...outstanding result!

Great work Bob! Man that thing was bad!

My client just received his last Friday after waiting more than a year with several delivery date changes. He had read others saying how poor the paint was coming in as and he confirmed his was just as bad. At least he knows it going in so don't have to deliver the bad news. I have him scheduled for mid Sept now....I may call Jeff in to help out if it needs that much work. :)

Beautiful results! that's crazy how it gets the "ok" to leave the factory in such bad condition.

Bob,
Incredible, perfect clarity, just stunning, I am sure out in the sun..
Love the work, love the color, the shape; has to be an extreme Whiplash generator, going down the road !
Thanks for this, and all the extra work to photograph, edit, and post !

Great work. Has anyone tried to make the company aware of their quality control problems? After all this is not an inexpensive car and even if it was I would expect better paintwork from the factory. Anyway great save!

Graet work Bob. I am sure you were "bummed" it wasn't a Porsche :)

I was bummed doing all the hand correction in the tight spots which took forever......................... really like this car sans the paint issues, supposed to be a great driving car and the interior was comfortable once you get past the wide sill.

I am waiting for my first Cayman GT4 to come in, that is a Porsche I am ready for even over the three 4.0 991 GT3RS that are on the way for me to do.
