I need to remove everything on my car so...

I did a couple of searches on how to do an Alcohol wipe down but just can't seem to find it. If anyone has access to such a thread or wants to explain it here, taht'd be really great! Thanx

If you want to remove everything you might have to use something stronger like Prep-sol, depending on what you have on your car.

The alcohol wipe down is 50% water to 50% Iso. (70% rubbing alcohol or 99%) and let it dwell for 30-40 seconds and then wipe off.

Bill D.--that link is a real keeper! Could the "how-to" of the alcohol wipe thread be made into a stickey or be put into the Autopia archive without infringing on the original non-Autopian poster?

Will this stain trim?

I use Dupont 3939S, which is basically the same thing. We have used it in the body shop for many years to remove everything on the paint before sanding. It is excellent. If you try it, use two rags: 1 for wipe down and another for removal. It dries quickly on it's own, but the second rag is to remove anything left suspended in the solvent while still wet.
