Hello all. Just detailed my car with AIO/UPP.HGAS. The attached pics are after washing and applying AIO/UPP/HGAS to the hood and fenders after having the clear bra installed. Had AIO/UPP/HGAS applied to the car about a week prior, so after the wash and application of AIO/UPP to the hood and fenders, I followed up with HGAS over the whole car.
Have been considering which look I want to go with on my car. I do like the look that I get with UPP and it's pretty slick. Haven't had a chance to test it's durability, but if I can get a solid 2 months out of it with weekly washes, then I'll be happy. I also am trying to find out more about what exactly "sterile" looks like and what consistutes a "warmer" finish. I got UPP specifically for it's reputation for effectiveness on silver metallic and have not been disappointed so far. Just want to know if there is another level or look that I prefer.
Is this look more sterile or does it have some warmth in your opinion? I guess I would describe it as "sharp" if I had to pick a word. I tried to get pics that showed how reflective the hood is and how you can see the reflection of trees in the distance. Pics from the other side of the car were truly blinding with the sun lower in the background and didn't come out that well. This car does have very subtle lines on the hood and some sharper ones on the fender that I think the UPP does bring out. What I do like about the UPP is that it really brings out the metallic flake. Couldn't get a good pic to represent what it looks like in person though.
While I am happy with the way the car looks in these pics, I still am so new to detailing that I am not quite sure if I may prefer another look. I already have a variety of products. I have Pink Wax and Natty's Blue coming in to try as well. While I understand that it's tougher to get silver to look more liquidy and slick, do you think I will get much difference in look with carnaubas? I do appreciate the way a clean and nicely polished black or charcoal colored car looks. But I did get silver for it's ease in care.
I am hoping that after I apply a carnauba, that I will be able to tell a difference and will be able to say THIS is definitely the look that I want to go with. I am thinking about trying AIO/SG/Natty's or AIO/2180/PW next. In the end, I think I probably just like the way my car looks when it's clean!
