AIO topped with EX's?

Hi guys (and girls) has anyone used the Klasse AIO topped with either EX-P or EX. I ask because this would save alot of time in a full detail for the AIO doesn't have to cure and you can go straight to topping with an EX. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Heres what I do with a new/good conditioned car
1.PB polish w/carnauba or Klasse AIO (maybe, depends on reactions)
2.EX on dark and EX-P on light colors (hand)

Swirled and oxidized
1.clay
2.SS2
3.PB polish or adams brillance or AIO (depending) to remove any more haze or imperfections
4.EX-P or EX (hand)
4.Natty's (if desired by client) (hand)

EX-P (and to a lesser extent EX) tends to take on the characteristics of the previous layer. So, choose a prep product which matches your final appearance goals.

AIO leaves a bright and clean look, though somewhat lacking in depth or gloss. PwC is a bit darker and wetter with more depth. Something like VM would give you a very glossy look.

Lucky for you, I have just finshed applying this combo to my Black Hyundai Elantra GT!

Here was my process:

Wash with Mother's California Gold Wash
Clay Not Required
Polish with Poorboys SSR 1.0
AIO X 2
Poorboys EX-P X 1 (Right After AIO)

This is my first time using EX-P

Sorry for the picture quality!

Tommorow will apply a layer of Souveran

I have topped AIO with EX-P on my silver Solara with outstanding results (in my eyes, LOL).

Here's a pic from the day I did it...The EX-P noticeably improved for the next few days and after the first wash:

so, if on a light colored car I should use AIO to EX-P, and on a dark car I should go with PB Polish w/car. and then EX for that wet look? Where does the klearcote Vanilla Moose come into play? Can I use that in replacement of AIO and PB for both? Thanks!

Has anyone used speed glaze of machine glaze from Meguiars Pro-line? I think that would go nice in the 1. Clay 2. SSR2 3.Speedglaze 4. EX/EX-P

There's no hard and fast rule about which combos look best on which colors. It's all a matter of personal preference. Just because you have a dark colored car, it doesn't mean that your preference should be to try to make it even darker looking through your choice of detailing products. AIO, PwC, VM, and many other polishes could be used as a base coat with no cure time. It's usually the sealants themselves, rather than the polish, that need time to cure.

Surface finish is in the eye of the beholder. One person's "perfection" is someone else's "strip off & redo".

I agree...all the cars look super!

As for the ladies checking out my car...well the lady in the picture has to look as she is my wife...lol
 
Here's a pic of my TSX with AIO and EXP. I like the look, seemed to bring out the metallic but being as I have to try them all, I'm thinking of topping AIO with 1Z GW or possibly 1Z MP with 1Z GW for my fall detail.
