Aio+sg Failure!

So my wheels looked FANTASTIC with a base of AIO and about 3-4 coats of SG, always easy to clean, shined beautifully for as old as they are, etc. Well, then all that fancy protection and hard labor just couldn't hold up. Any suggestions for a new combo?

:D

stupid metal-topped storm drains digging under the edge of the wheel for what would have otherwise been a mild curbing... :P

Mmm, do you think you can just buff that out? Seriously, that is terrible about your wheel. I am paranoid about curbs these days with all the nasty things that can be lurking out there. Nice comment Maxy, thanks for the laugh!

Holy sh!t!! How fast were you going? Trying to drift around a turn? lol But seriously, Scratch X should take that right out, and if not, then a new wheel and tire will make it look brand new. lol

:lol at these comments. thanks guys :D

I JUST happened to catch the front edge of this thing, which was sticking about 1/2" out from flush. It was all just a matter of bad timing and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I'd have curbed it even 6" further along, it would have been nothing more than a scratch.

I think I was going about 35...

Luckily, it's about time to put the winter combo on and I was able to have my "pit crew" :D run me out my rear winter wheels. I think I should be fine for at LEAST another season on these LM22's (two long seasons out of them so far) but I was thinking of throwing on some WS50's for pure snow traction fun :)

On top of that, a local S2000 owner has an extra set of rear stock wheels, which he's willing to part with for $50/ea (just need one, after all). Much better than $450 new. And it'd look weird, being BRAND new, compared to the 80k miles the others have seen.

At least there is a bright spot to all that. Better snap up that pair! Could you send over your pit crew to swap my wheels? With this cold snap we've had I'm dreading doing the change over!
