AIO+SG+ Carnuba??

Does that make sense on a clearcoat finish in excellent condition?

Would it be even better to use several layers of SG or carnuba?

How about something like Showcar Glaze in between the layers SG or in between the layers of carnuba. Thanks for any input, when I do it I will document the process with photos to see if it was worth all the work.

I always top SG with carnauba. 4 or 5 layers of SG is as good as SG gets. beyond that and you are putting forth more effort and getting less actual results. 5 coats is the pinnacle of SG shine. Topping with carnauba softens the shine of the SG and really makes the car look great. I've been topping SG with carnauba since I started using it a few years ago and haven't gone back. It is a great combo. :bigups

I agree with Jngr on this one. I was a die hard AIO-SG fan. I would put up to 5 coats of SG on my red truck. The reflections were crisp and stunning. I started using a S100 topper and it definitely gives the finish more depth.

Whatever you decide to do, don't try to incorporate the glaze in there - it's not compatible. Also, you can't alternate SG and carnauba as it creates a potential bonding issue. Do as many coats as you want, then finish off with a carnauba if you want.

Michael Camp,

I now have 8 Coats of Klasse SG, and from the physical feel that I get on my paint surface (now SG surface) it seems thicker than ever before.

Maintenance seems getting easier and easier the more SG coating I apply. One such noteable observations that I had was how dust stick to my SG surface. Previously, I notice that certain dust and dirt get to stuck on my paint surface or to the 1 to 3 layers of SG but since I hit the 4th layer I am no longer experiencing the same.

In addition, I do noticed that QD-ing is much much easier and quicker than ever before with my 8 coatings of SG.

I have 2 layers of SG on and a layer of PS2100 can you do a dawn wash then put another layer of SG on?

PS2100, eh? Sounds like some high tech stuff. :p I'm sure you mean P21S or S100, right?

The Dawn wash shouldn't hurt the SG and will probably remove most of the wax. The only way to be sure is to start over with AIO and begin your SG layers again. I would imagine that Dawn would put a major dent in the wax layer, but I don't know that it would remove it all.

I do P21S/S100 over Klasse AIO & SG, I think the results are awesome. I don't think there is a need to wash with any harsh cleaners like Dawn, just use a good car wash shampoo and re-apply P21S/S100 every 6 weeks or so.
