AIO over Menzerna IP.....

Has anyone put Klasse AIO over Menzerna Intensive polish instead of Final Polish? I have a truck with pretty bad oxidation on the hood and roof. I already have AIO, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to need something stronger than AIO.

I was going to buy the Menzerana sample kit from Proper Auto Care, but I thought I might go for a whole bottle of Intensive Polish instead if AIO works good on top of it.

I thought I would go IP then AIO then ZFX/Z2 Pro or Z5.

IMO IP does not marr the paint that bad and can go straight to LSP if you're using a polishing pad. So yes go for the whole bottle IP and just use AIO right after. It also depends what are you working on as black has more difficulty with seeing swril marks.

The truck I will be using the IP on is red. I also plan to use the IP on my white "beater" which has somewhat neglected paint on it also. It's not nearly as bad as my truck though. :(

If you're satisfied with the gloss from IP alone ( certainly not bad) but Menzerna sells a full range of polishes with different strengths and the gloss level they offer improve a little in sequence from more aggressive product to least.

AIO doesn't technically go "over" IP, once you polish with IP and wipe off with a MF the IP residue should be gone. There are no oils left behind with IP. Once your done with it you should have a bear surface ready for AIO.

IP is a great product. If your using it by PC i recommend using it with an orange power pad.

I will be using a PC for the first time ever! I've had a 7336 for a while now, but I haven't had time to use it. I have ordered a pad kit as well. I had planned on using the Orange pad, so I'm glad that's the right one! I'm a little nervous, but I don't think I'll have any problems.

Thanks for the help everyone! Now I'm off to order the IP...

With the PC, if you have some trouble getting defects out, eventually it would be a good idea to get some 4" pads with the appropriate backing plate. Using it with these pads cuts back on the vibration and concentrates the product on the defect allowing it to polish it out more. With the exception of machine polishing AIO, I use my PC with 4" pads all the time where ever my Cyclo can't fit.
