AIO+glaze+wax or AIO+SG+wax?

I have a new Garnet Red Subaru I bought last fall (darker red with gold metal flakes), so paint's in very nice condition. Now that I bought a PC, and have gotten the detailing itch back, I'm looking at revamping my detail scheme. I'll take care of the minimal swirls once the threat of snow is done here, so I'm looking for advice on a more LSP-based detail combo that'll provide me with the best looks over the summer, with durability being second in importance.

I currently do AIO - 2 layers SG - Blitz Wax on my cars. A relatively decent looking, but more importantly very durable combo. Now though with my first ever nice red car and big itch to utilize my newly researched detailing skills, I wonder if there's more to be had.

Would there be a big improvement in looks to use a glaze and wax after AIO versus my standard 2xSG and wax treatment? Does it even work? I'm also gonna try some Natty's Blue wax as a part of this. The Blitz will be relegated to the winter wax from now on.

And last of all, I'd sure like to know which glaze people prefer on red or any paint with metal flakes.

Thanks.

try the FK FX100 it works over sealant, Glazes AND Nubas. Can't do that with SG.

Use the AIO seal it with the FX100 and then you whatever combination of products you wish afterwards. The FK will keep it sealed.

For looks, I definetely say go with natty's blue. SG is nice for durability, but nothing can touch natty's blue in terms of look. I don't even use a glaze under natty's blue and I am very pleased with the look. After the rainy season stops, I'm going to take off my 4xSG and go with Natty's blue because it looks so much better than my current SG. I would say SG gives my car a plastic shiny look, while natty gives my car a very "wet" look. And for the glaze, even though I never tried it on a red car, Clearkote Red machine glaze is very nice glaze.

Disclaimer: I haven't tried the RMG, so maybe it'll provide something I'm not thinking of.

IMO if you get the (relatively new) b/c paint marring free you won't really need a glaze. But these days "glazes" and some "polishes" and even some "waxes" can be pretty similar, functionally speaking.

The standard answer is probably to try something like VM or AIO topped with [insert favorite carnauba here]. But I'd probably use 1z MP and top that. That's after getting rid of all the marring...

I think carnauba wax works best with just AIO, not SG. AIO and Natty's Blue or any of the Pinnacle waxes or P21S are proven to be good by my own experience. :)

What you can put this stuff over a carnauba??

Yeah, I think I'll wait 'till I get a chance to get some Natty's and see what that looks like over AIO itself before buying a glaze. I'm also really tempted to try the Werkstatt AJ, then try a carnuba over that while I'm at it....and let's not forget the FK products that seem to be all the rage now.

I'm just searching for the products that'll give my color of paint the deepest, wettest look.....and it'll be a fun search. Why do I feel like I'll have a closet full of products by the time I'm done?

Off topic, I bought some EO Nanowax spray today just for fun......added that on top of the layer of AIO I put on with the PC yesterday.....it looks amazingly good for a spray wax - deep and wet. Now to order that Natty's Blue.
