AIO after FPII?

I'm currently using IP with LC orange, followed by FPII with LC white. Should I go to AIO before my LSP, is that necassary or kind of redundant with FPII?

The car is black. I noticed after a trial panel with the FPII there is still some slight micro marring. (Had to look pretty hard under a halogen light.) Is that inevitable or is there something to get it out? ( maybe I"m being a bit too anal).

Realizing that every situation is different (and all similar disclaimers about taking off more paint...), I'd get it as nice as you want it to be with the FPII before switching to AIO. Others get *some* very mild marring removal from AIO but I never have.

I don't consider the AIO redundant after the FPII. AIO is a less abrasive product with good cleaning ability and some protection that makes a fine base for most LSPs.

I just had to re polish most of my car due a spotting disaster. I used FPII via Cyclo and white LC polishing pads and then switched over to the PC with black finishing pad to apply the AIO.

I use suede style mfs bonnets on the Cyclo for LSP removal.

Being that AIO is Nonabrasive but does clean and remove minor swirls would a whit pad or other more abrasive pad accomplish anything more that just using a finishing pad?

I doubt it especially if you want to maximize all of AIO's shine potential. I think you're better off just using a real mild tradtional abrasive polish ( like i did a la FP II).

I have never had the fortune of getting AIO to remove any type of minor swirls on any paint --both hard and soft I've ever used it on.

I'd say may be for those extremely fortunate enough to get a swirl only in their layers of SG, ( wish it happened to me, all swirls I ever get are in the clear :( ) AIO would remove them under these conditions: removes the swirls by removing the SG and leaving a new pre sealant coating behind ready for re application of new SG.

AIO with a light cutting pad might remove very light marring. In my experience, it's mostly the work of the pad. AIO may have some really light abrasives but it's marketed as non-abrasive for a good reason.

AIO with a finishing pad will most likely do nothing for any marring.

i use to apply AIO after FPII but not anymore. I dont think there's much difference or benefit in terms of shine.

Accum, what pad would you suggest with the AIO. LC white or black(finishing pad)?

I always use a mild polishing pad. One that's soft enough that it won't cause any micromarring but still more "open" an durable than a finishing pad.
