I was driving down a 25 mph street and a guy turned right in front of me GOING 25 MPH! I turned my wheel and barely hit the curb :grrr. The guy felt so bad and gave me $50 to get it fixed.

It has 3 little ruff marks that are pitted and two other scuffs that should be able to come out with chrome polish. I'm just worried about the 3 pitted scratches. Is there a way to remove them and use a filler to fill the pit? Or am I just going to have to use chrome paint to hide it the best I can? I bought some chrome paint and just ordered some semichome from eastwood.com.

I would appreciate anybodies help here!

Some usefull tip from a Belgian geek : to prevent overspray on the tyre, realease all the air so the edge between tyre and rim is slightly bigger. Then use a set of playing cards (like poker-cards) and stick them one over one between that edge. The cards are high enough to prevent the tyre to be sprayed on and are easy to remove !

Um guys , is he supposed to spray chrome paint onto the scratches ? Think not ..

I would say only thing you could do really is clean it out with some decent diluted degreaser , dry it completely and seal it with some brush on clear coat , only on the scratches .

After it dries maybe a week , another wash and some good wheel sealant

This will help keep it from corroding away better

Without a pic of the damage its hard to say what method is best but I have used a dremel to smooth out the damage. Knock of any burrs and smooth the damage out a bit. then I use emery cloth to further blemd in the damage. If its a chrome wheel, you will have to paint it. If its polished, you can use metal polish and dremel attachments that are used for metal polishing to polish the spot.
