After the PW+SIP?

Is it okay to go with 85RD with a blue pad after using a purple wool with SIP?

Also what process can i use for cleaning carpets without an extractor?

Unless the paint is remarkably hard 8rd/blue will not clean up the marring SIP/PFW leaves behind. Remember, SIP can fill. I'd do an interim step of SIP/white or IP/white or something in between for sure.

Picus - I'm going to detail a 2001 (i believe) BMW 328, and i've heard about their hard clear coats?

I'll probably go for the SIP w/ orange first then purple wool if needed. Then SIP w/ white and finally 85RD w/ blue.

David Fermani - Great write up! What products do you recommend for the pre-spot stains? Solvent-base? Enzyme-based?

Thanks again guys.

i have never had to pull out PFW on a BMW. orange pad should be fine. i did this detail using 106/white. once you get the hang of the polish. youll leave it LSP and may not 85rd.

.

Stained Pillars

303 Spot Remover for the Spot Treatment

Tuff Stuff for general stain removal

wiped away with warm rag and it was gone

I personally prefer PFW to orange just because it produces so much less heat, but that's just me. I don't use orange pads much anymore. That said, I'd try with orange first in your case because it will leave less marring behind, and if it gets the job done on the removal part you'll have less work finishing clean.
