Well not exactly my 1st but my first attempt after researching this site.I thought i knew how to detail but i was just wasting my time and "stealing" peoples money. I say that because i was doing a ****** job.Swirl marks everywhere. I was doing it by hand. I just started a thread asking for a pc,but if nobody has one, i will just buy one tomorrow.

I just need advice on the starting process and products to use. Backing plate, weights, pads:white, green, orange etc. I noticed some people in the Click and brag, tell there process but i also noticed there are different clear coats. I have a 96 chevy impala. Its black. What would u guys recommend for my car?

I myself knows GMs paint is hard. The pads I use are lake coutry 6.5 pads and 5.5 pads. From orange for cutting , white for the final polish, black for glaze and blue for the sealants and the polish I use are most Menzerna stuff

I have had good luck on my Black SS with Optimum Polish, Hi Temp Xtreme Cut as well as the Poorboy's SSRs. IMO, The SSR line is a great place to start. They're very easy to use and they work pretty well.
