advice for wax residue on mesh

I have this job coming up this weekend most likely and according to the client he said this was the way the dealer prepped his Lamborghini Murcielago. There is white wax residue all over the black honey comb trim on the top of the car. Just seeing if any of you guys have some time saving tips for me on cleaning this up. All comments are welcome. Thanks

Remove them and clean them with and APC or solvent product, or just dress them with an aerosol dressing such as Trim Shine. To realistically clean them on the car would take forever.
 
Thanks for the replies. I am going to remove the residue one way or another either with cotton swaps, small brushes or some type of solvent. I would like to go the solvent route as it will obviously take forever to clean each pore individually with a swab or mini brush.



When you say mineral oil do you mean an oil or mineral spirits?



I have to look closer to see how difficult it will be to remove the pieces as again it will be much faster if I can take the pieces off before cleaning them and dressing them.



Any more suggestions or if anyone has experience removng these mesh pieces I will gladly accept your assistance. Thanks again.

I have used 50/50 IPA before but wasn't all that impressed. The residue was still there even after some light scrubbing. Anyone else have better luck using alcohol?
 
No, definitely not mineral spirits--I mean plain old mineral oil from the drugstore, like actors use to remove make-up and people use to clean wax from their ears. You'll be surprised how good it is at removing wax.
