Hello,

I just found this forum and you guys rock!

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus that I want to really stand out from the others. The color of the car is called Arizona Beige, it's kind of a goldish tan. I have been using Zymol Cleaner Wax with pretty good results, but I see from you guys that there is more to be done.

I would like to know what you guys would recommend to really make this car stand out. I don't have a buffer, but I'm open to suggestions about what to get (or if I really need one).

Any suggestions on anything is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Chris

Zymol cleaner wax, hmmmmm. Are you ready to dramatically change the way your car looks, the guys on here will steer you towards products that will help you get spectacular results, but more importantly there are many tips and techniques to be learned here. My easiest recommendation for you to get started is to get the Platinum Introduction kit from premium. With this you will have all the tools to add gloss beyond what the zymol will give you, not to mention how easy it is to use.

Thanks for the tip. Will I get good results by hand, or should I pop for a rotary buffer? I'm paranoid of doing damage, so I want to take this a step at a time.

Thanks again,
Chris

Here is what I would say about taking your car to the next level.

Wash and dry useing a good car soap
Clay bar with some quick detailer spray
Polish
Swril remover
glaze and then wax

All this can be done by hand, all t he products are avaiable threw this site. I happen to like the 3M line the most.

I just ordered the Platinum Complete Kit from Dwane, this seems like a great way to start.

Thanks again,
Chris

Good choice. The Platinum kit will be an improvement. Be sure to use all the steps just like the directions suggest. The clay will be an important step not to overlook. It makes a huge difference in the way your paint feels and looks. If you have never tried clay or a high quality sealant you will be very impressed with the Platinum kit. The kit even has good micro fiber towels which you will love also.

Best regards,
John
