One area I has not mastered is art of windshield polishing. I decided to take a shot this weekend as the Lexus windshield was starting to show four years of driving up and down GA 400.
I got my PC and a Lake Country VC finishing pad and some Zaino Z-12 glass polish. I put three small dots around the pade and worked it into the glass carefully after taping up the rubber surrounds on the shield. I worked it in on "3" and then bumped it up to "5". Let haze up a bit then removed with some AG indigo edgeless towels.
I then cleaned it up with 1Z Scheibenklar. The window was much brighter and two small nicks in the upper left and lower right of the windshield were greatly minimized. There were bunch of sand like indentations on the glas that either went away completeley or were greatly smoothed.
I was pleased with the results of Z-12. I can recommend the product to any car due for some glass polishing. One note of caution: some luxury cars have glass pre-treated and I'm not sure any glass polish should be used on those...on my ES the side windows are treated this way.
