Well I've known this customer for quite awhile and he didn't know I detail cars, but when he bought this car for his wife they had it detailed by another detailer around here. They upgraded to a Polymer Sealant (griot's) for an extra charge. When the detailer was all done he told them to use Griot's Spray on Car wash only or else it will wear off the sealant. Well after about 5 washes with it they noticed it started swirling and scratching the paint so they called the detailer and told him their issue. He replied to them saying that he can't do anything about it because his company is going bankrupt. Mind you he told them there was a 1 year warranty on the upgraded sealant. Well every since they told me about it and I told them I detail I've seen this other detailer "detail" 5 other cars. Well enough with this rant here's the process.

Customer only wanted a 2 stage polish and sealant for the winter, but afterwards she's bringing it back to get fully corrected. The 2 stage corrected about 75-80%

There was this scratch on the passenger side that started halfway between the front door and went to the back door. It looked like the detailer tried to fix it before. The customer stated that he just made it look more dull

50/50 of it polished out, but it still had some deeper RIDS and that scratch wasn't gone.

Wet sanded the scratch down
