Adding QD to wash water?

I have taken to adding about a capful of ONR to my conventional wash bucket with soap, just seems to give that extra bit of slickness. I have tons of other QD sprays, and wondered if they might help. Would it do any good to add any other type of QD to the wash like Megs, Poorboys, or whatever else I have around? Or would it just be a waste?

IMO I can't see how it would work. I thinik for this to work the QD would have to be water soluble, are QD sprays water soluble?

I thought most of them were? Maybe not though. But even if they are not, wouldn't the other chemicals still add to the shine, slickness etc? Wouldn't it be similar to using th eQD as you dry? I don't know, I'm still new at all this, but I think I will do an experiment using different ones each time I do a wash and see what happens. :)

Last week I added some Z-6 to my Z-7 car wash bucket. Didn't see anything in particular except for added lubricity of the wash. This is a great way to use up products that you no longer use (QD's in wash, mild polishes on wheels, sealants/waxes in door jams and wheels, QD's with clay...

I would stick to like and compatible products of QD and wash, ex. don't mix a carnauba laden QD with say Zaino's Z-7.

Many of them are. When I ordered a gallon of Quik Shine it came in a gallon container with an inch or two of concentrate and a line showing where to fill it up to with water.

Since QD's like this are mostly water I don't know how much they'd add being diluted even further in a wash bucket, but it wouldn't hurt anything. I usually put a few sprays in my bucket of QEW, and now do the same with ONR just out of habbit. My Poorboy's SS&S already seems pretty slick so I don't add anything to that.

That's the exact reason I was wanting to do it. As I get more and more boutique type QD's, I don't use some of the others as much, and thought it may not only give my wash a little boost, but will also keep stuff from sitting unused.
