Ok obviously it's not SVRT vs the world, just SVRT vs a slew of other popular tire dressings.

Adam's SVRT vs Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Dressing vs CarPro PERL (1:1 dilution) vs Meguiars Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Spray

I decided to test this tire dressing against not only itself, but many others. The Pinnacle one and the CarPro PERL are very highly regarded on detailing sites, and the Megs Tire Spray is just one I got over the counter at Walmart.

So how does the Adam's fare against itself and others? Well I will be testing this out in the next few weeks. Today, I did the application of all the tire dressings.

To clean the tires I used Adam's APC at a 1:3 dilution.

Here's how the clean but undressed tire looks:

The weird spots on the tires are products of the lighting. If you don't believe me, a few pictures down I have another picture of the undressed tire without those spots.

So for the Adam's vs itself, what I mean by that is testing layered coats of SVRT and seeing the difference in durability and look, if any. I am testing 1 coat, 2 coats, and 3 coats. I am using the included black applicator. These coats are being applied in 20 minute intervals. Final picture of this will be up tomorrow as the sun went down.

To apply each dressing I am using the below applicator. To apply the Adam's I am using the applicator they gave with the product. In these tests, all products used are 1 LAYER. Not 3 or 2 like the first test. This is because most people will only ever apply 1 layer and not 3 layers like crazy people... aka me!

Very interesting. I received o 4 oz bottle of the Adams stuff as a freebee. It wasn't bad, but I didn't notice anything special about it. I have probably 15 different products like this, and for some reason I always go back to Poor Boys Bold & Bright.

Nice review and documentation.. :bigups

So far everything appears to be going well other than the SVRT disappearing due to poor application. I'm not sure is poor application is the root cause. Adams SVRT was applied to the same tire using the same applicator and all other products were applied in the same manor...

Personally, I didn't have good luck with Adams SVRT. The products durability was short lived and didn't tolerate general washings....

I'd like to see an update as well...:bigups

I use to use this on my tonneau cover on my truck as suggested by one of the Adam's Employee's. It looked ok for the first day but it did like the dust and if it rained it went all over my truck box. Never used it again, still have all most 3/4 of a bottle. I guess it's time to throw it out.

Great post man, what are your thoughts on the pinnacle? I never got a chance to do a follow up, after my review it rained for a week and since it is water based I didn't expect it to last.

whats up with the blue tape on the pinnacle bottle:rofl

ah yes, sorry guys, school has been killing me lately, so while I've been taking pictures, I haven't updated this.

Not to worry though! I have a 1/29 update, and I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow or day after for a 2/3 update :)

I believe that poor application is the root cause because if you look at these two pictures, one side has the 1 layer totally gone, and the other side of the same tire has a clearly defined 1 layer spot. Either I didn't clean correctly or didn't apply correctly, as this is on the same tire.

Things are coming along, thank for the update! :bigups

Is it my computer or is there a tinge of green starting to show?

Such hard work you have done! Great detailed analysis. A bit hard to really tell differences in the photos. What is your opinion so far?

I really like Pinnacle and Poorboy's. After trying many different ones. My favorite is the Pinnacle but for the price the Poorboy's is my go to.

wow that is some great detailed review..for a moment i got lost..:P

Thanks! Sorry it is a bit long!

Thank you :)

Opinion... I'm going to leave that to the very end, which should be in about a week or a little longer from now. I've had the opportunity to keep playing with them, so I'm making a more informed opinion about all the products when I do say my stance. But durability wise, it's very surprising. All (except Megs) have been holding up VERY similarly.

That is probably why it is hard to tell the difference, and get this, in real life, it's the SAME! I have a hard time telling the difference myself.

Day 20 Update:

NOTE: I forgot to take a picture of SVRT 3 Layers vs 2 Layers. My bad. In day 22 update, I have the full set of pictures.
