Adam's products

First, I'm not going to get into the discussion on product, um...similarities. I’ll leave it up to the OP to search for further information. ;)

I have used Adam's Polishes before which I purchased a set from them at Fabulous Fords Forever show two years ago. I still purchase the QD from them, too.

What I've used with a quick blurb:

Adam's QD - Awesome.

Pros:Pleasant smell, easy to use and leaves a nice gloss finish, and works very well for clay bar jobs.

Cons: I can’t think of any…

VRT – Good.

Pros: Goes on smooth and leaves a semi-gloss finish on black plastic/trim. It does restore trim back to black a little.

Cons: Restorative properties are very short lived. Leaves oily residue on paint surfaces (just like all other trim products I’ve used)

Brilliant Spray Glaze –Good.

Pros: Ease of use.

Cons: Can/Will stain rubber moulding (ie, window seals).

Buttery Wax – Average to below average.

Pros: Easy on/Easy off.

Cons: Not the best in looks (IMO). I got better results using other waxes such as NXT, 845IW, etc…

NOT AGAIN........................they make good to very good products .I used there QD which very good and I like there Butter Wax also

I use some of their products at my shop but mainly sell it for customers who wish to maintain their vehicles between services. Good retail product because not alot of stores in Portland carry it.

As for performance I agree 100% with Anomaly.

......................................................C:D

I know this has been discussed before, but I said this once and I will repeat it for those who did not read it.

I cannot say how, but I am 100% sure adams is chemical guys.

As in, it is not a suspision, it is a fact, but I really wish I could tell you who told me this.

As far as the quality of the products, theyre good products, but much cheaper from CG.

As many has said, their detail spray is very good, the VRT is good as well and I even like their undercarriage spray which makes the underside look very black. Have used their "wax" line and it fails to impress, Pinnacle P21S and others have used are much better inho. For me, Zaino works best for shine and durability.

why the secretcy??? If they are chemical guys just say it and prove it. What the hell is the point in playing little kids games on this forum??? Either they are or they aren't. Don't just stir the rumor mills. And while we're at it.... WHO CARES who they are. millions of companies cross sell exact same products on a daily basis under different names. What's the point of some big "Ohhh and Ahhhh" cover up. does anyone really give a rats *** about the name?

I use several of his products and have no complaints. All products work as described .Are there better products is some of the areas .Probably.Do I care if it is probably from CG .No !!! Adam is a great guy.Very willing to help out.Customer service is excellent. If I had a problem it was resolved A.S.A.P. That is all I really care about could I buy similar products cheaper .Most likely. If cost is all you care about then you can buy things from detail supply houses .THe Detail spray is some of the best out there and I have quite a few.I really would like to know why it really matters who manufactures his products? Adams was one of the first lines I really got into a few years ago .This is his living and he promotes it as such and who he buys from should not make a difference. Its really know ones business .If he did not stand behind his product or did not deliver on a promise .Then don't do business with him. There are way too many other products out there .Its just annoying everytime someone brings up Adam's there is someone saying Oh it's CG products.Lets just get off it already

If that's the case then it sounds like "Adam" has a very heafty lawsuit on his hands. Your hinting very heavliy at formula stealing.

Why would he have a lawsuit on his hands ?

I agree, re-labelling is completely legal, and just because autopia knows adams is CG (really warner chemical aka "Insta Finish") does not mean theyre going to go out of business. Probably less than 1% of the people who buy his products are autopians.

To those who think it is childish of me not to say why I know for sure adams is CG, I would love to tell you, but the person who I found this out from although not a posting member, reads this forum every day, and would see my post. And believe me, if you knew this person you would understand why I say it is a FACT.

But the question still remains who cares ? What difference does it make ? If it is it is. That is how business is done. I would not be surprised if all the products didn't all come out of the same chemical plants.

I'm actually a big fan of their Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner as well. It's taken out 2-3 year old coffee and sodas stains before, while being very gentle at the same time. Yes, the QD is an awesome product as well. I was also impressed with their car wash...lots of suds.
