Adam's Polishes?

Hi Folks,

Just curious if anyone has tried the Adam's line of stuff?

I have, and honestly came away less than impressed. That said, I've seen vehicles at shows that have been detailed with the stuff and have been told by a few fans that I must've received a bad batch of product.

I've used and have been impressed with their VRT dressings and their metal polishes, but the paint care stuff just hasn't done a thing for me. I'd be interested to hear any thoughts...thanks in advance.

I have some of their products and find the FK products better in all aspects. Adams stuff is easy to use, but the results are not what I get with FK. Just my .02

I love Adam's VRT and Detailing Spray. The car wash and MF towels didn't do much for me. The carpet cleaner is nice... nothing special. That's all I've tried.

I tried just about everything that Adam's carries, and I found everything was easy to use.

Here is what I liked/disliked

I like:

Detail Spray

VRT

Carpet Cleaner

Brilliant Spray Glaze

Car Wash

Bucket w/Dolly and Grit Guard

Glass Cleaner

Revive Polish

In-N-Out Spray

MF Applicators

Large Sponge Applicators

Leather Conditioner

Did not care for:

Butter Wax

Swirl Remover

While I liked the Revive (which acted more like a glaze for me), the butter wax did not hold up very well, and it did not add any additional depth (like other LSPs sometimes do). I found the scratch remover to be almost too mild, even after working it a little. A lot of people don't really care for the Brilliant Spray Glaze, but I like it on Chrome, headlights, bug deflectors, and wheels.

yeah I am not too happy with a sample of Adams that I tried. I have noticed that there is a push on many forums for these products and it is getting to me

I've tried them, I've got very good results althougt the butter wax did not stay on the car long enough. I love their Brilliant Spray Glaze though, easy to apply and easy to take off and fantastic shin and deepness of color in minutes.

Mt friend and I have used almost the entire line. And we have had both good and bad results with the swirl remover. The glass cleaner is freakin' awesome! And the VRT is great too! Otherwise, not too impressed.

Adam's was the first company I decided to try, thoguh there are other threads about this . . .lets discuss it more. - WTFN?

Their products work well, if you know what to expect from them.

The swiril remover when combined with the revive polish makes a fairly impressive MILD MILD polish.

by itself, i found it to be very dusty when used with the pc, but it works on mild hazing and spider webbing . . .

the revive polish by istelf is more of a finishing glaze, but provides very good shine IMO

The buttery wax, as stated by others on this forum - Works fairly well, add a decent depth to dark color finishes, but has very little durability. It, to be effective at protecting, needs to have multiple, multiple thin layers. They are developing a new paste wax which should be out soon . . . according to their CS Dept...

IN/OUT spray, VRT and Glass Cleaner (which is a unique formula of their own design, as they employ an in-house chemist for certain products) work very well, and are worth trying out.

Brilliant Spray glaze works fantastic on chrome IMO - but the new VOC compliant is not as effective as the old formula (as with so many other products)

They have changed their MF to cobra, which IMO is a good decision, as their previous MF was sub-par to other premium brands . . .

The detail spray is cheap, effective and can be used on any type of LSP ( I have used it on Souveran and AIO/KSG

It is true that some of their products are similar to chemical guys. (both companies are based in CA, near the bay area)

I have purchased the entire line. Figure I might as well give my 2 cents.

Send me PM if you want a more detailed description of certain products.

Seems like a rebadge to me. A lot like certain tropicare and chem guy products. To close for me to even consider buying. I like something original looking at least.

Like many products I think Adams works better on some finishes and not on others. I have had great success as of late mixing Revive Polish with FP on a pad or mixing a 4oz bottle of the mix. I have tried a 60/40 mix leaning toward Revive but am thinking I am going to mix my next 4oz bottle 50/50.

Butter Wax I agree with the others but VRT, BSG, glass cleaner, In and Out, and the quick detailer have become a must in my detailing rigg. I also use Swirl and Haze mixed with Revive on cars that require very mild polishing.

I think Adams will not be your end all line of products but it does a great hob of filling in the gaps. Lets remember they dont have a true 2 step polishing system like the Menzerna Twins or Opt Compound and Polish but they really fill the gap for a detailer like myself sometimes working on a car that is in good shape that I see every 3 months or so and I dont want to keep on being too harsh on the paint.

I ordered some stuff not too long ago - Car wash, detail spray, and VRT. The detail spray is awesome! I wasn't too impressed with the VRT. Jury is still out with the car wash - wasn't impressed when I washed my black car with it the first time, however, I was impressed with it when I used it on my wife's red mini-van. May try it again on my black car just to make sure and will probably use it on my wife's red mini-van. Don't think it's going to be my "go-to" car wash though.

I have been impressed by Adam Pitale as he has always responded to my emails and has extended the invitation to call him on his cell phone if I have any questions.

Yeha - the VRT

you either lov it or hate it. SOmetimes I like a low gloss, natural sheen for tires, and it does a great job at not spraying up. It is very eay to wipe from paint and glass to, just in case you get a little sloppy.

glass cleaner is not on the website, call their CS number and talk to Phil, Rob or Heather. They will get you hooked up

I know man of us have all tried quite a few glass cleaners, but IMO I have yet to use a product that works better than their mix.

- Hey topnotch - thats not a bad idea mixing like that, iv alwasy done the three two one ratio like they suggest - ill give that a try. . .
