Adams Americana

I don't hear many people talk about Adams' products.

Has anyone used Americana? Is it worth the price tag or a waste of money?

Nice wax but you have to remove it. before it dries because if you dont it is PITA to get off. It comes with a foam applicator that I like a lot. I think its worth the money also.

How does it compare with other $50+ waxes? P21S 100%, Souveran, several of the DoDo Juices, ect.?

IMO, Americana is the best paste product under $200.00.

I have tried just about every paste option in that price range, and Americana has the best shine, and more importantly for me, DURABLE beading properties.

Closest to it is Fusion-but that won't bead as well, or as long.

I actually put the Adams stuff on with my Flex and a yellow finishing pad. You must spread it thin or it's a PIA to remove.

Have you compared it to P21S 100%?

Really? Best under 200 big ones huh?

I knew this was going to happen....

My statement is based on what I look for in a LSP, specifically in this instance, a paste wax; Longevity of water beading (sheeting doesn't cut it for me), and accretive shine properties (does it add to the shine generated by the prep).

Here's my list give or take- PASTE ONLY; however I think it beats most synthetic liquids too";

Fusion, P21S regular and 100%, DoDo's Supernatural, BV, PH;

Colonite 915, 476; Pinnacle Souveran, XMT ; Megs 16, 26, Gold Class, NXT; Harley wax; Girot's carnauba stick; Victoria red, Natty's blue, red; Mother's California gold; Raindance; Zymol Carbon & Zymol harley wax; DPMaxx; Chemical guys 50/50; 3M Marine, Showcar; Classic, Classic Aircraft; Blue Coral 100% carnauba paste, NuFinish.

Didn't bother to mention some more common products. There are some products listed that I am embarrassed to include, but everything there is short money, so what the heck I'll bite for some marketing BS. Just don't call me stupid if you're using something that costs a grand, unless you want me to make a counterpoint.

I believe without spending over $200 that this is a pretty inclusive list. Will a $1000 pot of wax be better? I will never find out, that's for sure.

Oh, I haven't tried Concourse, Concours, or any Swiss wax, so I will retract my statement for comparisons to those products-but I don't think that will change anything for me.

No, I am not connected with Adams. All comments IMO and YMMV!

Happy Thanksgiving
